What is Distracted Driving?

Manual: Taking a driver’s hands off the steering wheel.

Cognitive: Taking a driver’s focus away from safe driving.

When someone is texting while driving, it’s easy to forget what is going on around you. It is the responsibility of every driver to always be careful and attentive, ensuring everyone’s safety. Any activity that diverts the attention of a driver which includes texting, talking, eating, drinking, talking to other passengers, a GPS system, radio channels, heater systems, etc., anything that takes a driver away from the responsibility of safe driving.

Anything and everything can go wrong because of one tiny movement of a hand at the wrong moment. Today, people are traveling at higher speeds now and nearly every accident is either fatal or leaves someone critically injured, or disabled.
